Llibres.com is the virtual book shop of Proa Espais, a book store ubicated in carrer de la Rosselló, 212 in Barcelona (Tf. 936 013 098 Fax 933 013 500 E-mail: botiga@grec.com), which has been specialized in catalan language books for more than ten years now.
Searching for a book is an easy task in Llibres.com, we have several devices that make your search easy and fast. These are the three basic ones:
The following sections: New publications, Recommended books, cd-rom and Videos, contain different book lists classified as Fiction, Non-Ficiotn, Kids and Young, cd-rom, Gifts and Generalitat, settled with the aim of giving you a selection of recommended books.
In the lower part of the Main Page there is a list with the latest publications of every classified subject (more than 70 of them!) so that you can find updated information about them.
The section named "Catalog", also in the Main Page, allows the access to the Free search page of Llibres.com. Through the combination of four fields (Tittle, Author, Publisher and Subject) this engine will find the books you are searching for.
You can enter any word of a tittle or even the words that form the tittle typed in different order. By clicking the button "Search" a list of books that match with entered words appears.
In order to optimize the result time, lists are restricted. If you enter common words such as book, love, heaven, sea, etc., the result would be very long, and possibly your book does not appear on screen even though it is available in our database. We suggest to fill in the Tittle field in combination with any of the other fields (Author, Publisher or Subject).
In order to help the user in their search there are help buttons on the right side of these fields:
You have to enter a letter or a name or part of it in the proper field (i.e. Cabré in the Author field, accents are not necessary). Click the button near this field (in the example, the Author button). A list with all the authors that match the entered name will appear (in the example, all the authors’ name that contain the word "cabre"). By clicking the one you are interested in the complete name will appear back to the previous page. There you can click the search button. Publisher and Subject buttons have the same function.
The combination of elements entered in the different fields provide more restricted searches. In any case, Llibres.com is at your service to help you find a book, only by clicking the option "we’ll search for it" an electronic mail window will appear so that you can ask for the book. Before 24 hours term you will recieve the answer.
Once you have found the book you want, by means of any of the different search engines, you will be informed of its basic properties. In most cases an icon will appear on screen, it gives you access to a page containing complete information about the book and a brief summary of it. In all cases, the shopping cart icon appears so that you can add the book in your personal shopping cart..
You have access to this page from all menues, it shows your order in detail so that you can check it and even modify the quantities ordered of every book.
The "Modifying quantities" button allows you to add or cancel books in the shopping cart. First you have to modify manually the default value 1 to 2, 3, ... and click the "Modifying quantities" button. The program will calculate again the new quantities and show the value of the order.
If you type 0 in the quantities field, the book selected is immediatelly cancelled from your order.
Once you have settled the ultimate quantities, the final price appears in pesetas and in euros and you find the option of refering to "The shipping conditions" before you confirm the order by means of "Placing an order" option.
In order to offer the best service.to non-catalan-speaking users, there is a Spanish and an English versions of these pages.
After you have selected "Placing an order" a screen appears with the following options: you can buy items using the users code (defined below) or following the normal way, sending you data in a secure way by means of "send us your data from a secure-server". This option goes to a safety environment page (which encrypts your credit card information), there you choose how you want to pay your order and the shipping way you prefer, and also to send your order as a gift to another person.
When you have chosen "Send information" a page for confirmation of the order will appear. Once again you find the option to check the contents of your shopping cart.
During the process of buying a book you pass from a non-secure environment (searching for a book) to a secure one (where you type your personal information) and again to another non-secure (where you place your order). Throughout these series of actions Navigators show several messages -which can be very alarmist!- that must be acccepted, since they just ask for confirmation of environment change. In any case Llibres.com guaratees the security about your personal information.
User's code
When will I receive it?
Once you have fulfilled your first order to the virtual library, you will receive, in a
few days' time, an e-mail with your user's code and password. This message will be sent to
the same electronic address that you indicate in your previous order, so we strongly
recommend you to ensure its correcteness before submitting the form.
What is it for?
With this code you will not need to repeat all your personal data in each order form.
Nevertheless, you can always let us know any changes that you wish to include for a
particular order, by sending us an e-mail (changing the address of delivery because you
want to send a present to somebody, for instance).
I forgot my password or I want to change it
If you want to change your password, please send us an e-mail.
If you forgot your password we will provide you a new one if you don't use your user
account in your next order.
